Statement of Faith

Below is a summary of some of the key beliefs of Clayton Community Church. For the complete statement of faith, please download the file above.

We Trust in the Bible, God's Word

We believe the Bible is God’s living message to us—true, reliable, and fully sufficient. It guides us in understanding who God is, how much He loves us, and how we’re called to live each day.
[2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; Psalm 119:105]

We Worship the One, True God

We believe in one God who exists in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is beyond compare, yet deeply personal, inviting us into a relationship with Him.
[Deut. 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14]

We Find Hope in Jesus Christ

We believe that all of us fall short, but God, in His love, sent Jesus to restore us. Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus offers forgiveness, new life, and a restored relationship with God.
[Romans 3:23; Romans 5:8; John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4]

We Are Changed and Sent

We believe that when we trust in Christ, God comes to live within us through His Holy Spirit. He shapes our hearts and calls us to live with purpose—loving others and sharing the hope we’ve found.
[Romans 8:11; Ephesians 1:13-14; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8]

We Live with Eternal Perspective

We believe that Jesus will return and that our lives have lasting significance. This gives us hope, purpose, and a deep assurance that God is making all things new!
[John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 21:1-4; 2 Peter 3:13]

We Are the Church

We believe the Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
[1 Corinthians 12:27; Mark 16:15]
